Throughout the history of the transportation industry, people have always had futuristic ideas. Some of them seem outdated today, but, at one time, they were innovations. Back before the turn of the twentieth century, bicycle builders envisioned the motorization of the bicycle. Step-by-step, this vision became a reality. Before long, one seat wasn't enough, so coach builders were brought into the fold, and they provided bodies, and some of them took to engine building.
When you think about the things that Italy has brought to the table (no pun intended), certain types of food may come to mind. Then again, maybe that's just me, because it's getting close to lunchtime and I'm hungry.
Anyway, you have to start with some kind of premise, and that's mine, do with it what you will. Now it's time for the seemingly seamless segue.
GMC trucks are designed for people who want capability, with a side order of luxury. Not the Bling-bling “look at me!!” sort of luxury. But actual refinement and sophistication. For those people, GMC dealers carry trucks like the GMC Sierra, GMC Canyon, and GMC Yukon Denali. They're rugged, do-anything vehicles that can fit in on the jobsite, or at the country club. Glad you asked...
Usually, when you have regrets, you regret something that you did, not something that you didn't do. I have recently had the opposite experience.
I'm a huge fan of the American Pickers television show. I like everything about it. Mike Wolf and Frank Fritz are genuine people, and they are my kind of guys, with motor oil running through their veins.
I’m old enough to remember a time before car seats. I can remember a time before lots of things, but this article will focus on car seats. The first “restraint” that I remember wearing in the car was similar to the leashes you see some children equipped with in public places so they don’t get too far from their parents. It covered my chest and hooked to the seat belt but left me plenty of room to stand up to see out the windows. Its purpose I assume was to keep me from flying out of the vehicle in an accident. Luckily, it was never put to the test.
The saying goes that things are bad all over when the economy takes a hit like the one we are still recovering from. Ford seems to be the exception to that rule. The automaker has just added 1,200 jobs and another shift to its Kansas City Assembly Plant in order to keep up with the demand for the new Transit Van which went on sale in June.
The Ford Motor Company has issued two recalls for certain 2015 Ford Transit Connects and Ford Transit cargo vans—1,319 Conncects for a potential brake fluid leak, and 600 cargo vans for a problem with windowless sliding doors
