Volkswagen appears to be preparing to introduce a new crossover concept at the 2015 North American International Auto Show next month. If statements from several sources close to the German automaker are found to be true it would point to what could be an expansion of an upcoming lineup of CUVs from VW. The aim seems to be to give VW a larger share of the growing CUV segment while also reversing souring sales numbers here in the U.S. market.

The idea of waking up to a new car on Christmas morning is exciting and a dream come true, according to television commercials anyway. It would be great if Santa could deliver the perfect car for you with no strings attached. The scenario is definitely possible even if Santa doesn’t bring one, and if the Black Friday numbers are any indication, there will be cars under trees in a few weeks.

Auto makers are becoming more attuned to those little things that make driving a car a pleasure. As an example, many models have “puddle lights”, which are small lights mounted under the side mirrors and aimed at the ground in order to light up the area next to the car at night. This makes puddles or other “dangers” visible to anyone stepping out of the vehicle. It’s a nice touch to provide a little extra safety and convenience and it’s been available for years as standard on some models and optional on others.
