Take a trip back with me about 25 years or so. It was a time before navigation systems and smartphones. In an interesting move that few in the industry saw coming, Aston Martin has poached an executive from Lotus and has accquired chief testing and development engineer Matt Becker in perhaps a broader bid to further hone its ambitious plans at reinventing itself.

The world is slowly getting greener. We “reduce, reuse, and recycle” when we can and scientists all over the world are working to make all the things we deem necessary to our survival less damaging to our environment. Volkswagen appears to be preparing to introduce a new crossover concept at the 2015 North American International Auto Show next month. If statements from several sources close to the German automaker are found to be true it would point to what could be an expansion of an upcoming lineup of CUVs from VW. The aim seems to be to give VW a larger share of the growing CUV segment while also reversing souring sales numbers here in the U.S. market.
