Volkswagen Axes Phaeton; Promises Successor For 2019 test 1-1

In a move that many in the industry saw coming following the announced closure of the Phaeton's state-of-the-art plant in Dresden, Germany, Volkswagen insiders have revealed that the Phaeton itself has been axed. It's a move that will not only save Volkswagen money, it will also leave room for an all-new successor that would make its appearance in 2019.

What the Truck?! 1998-2003 Dodge Dakota R/T

1998-2003 Dodge Dakota R/T test 2

Back in the late '90s, small trucks were big business. Little rigs like the Ford Ranger, Chevy S-10, and Toyota Tacoma, offered customers lots of capability for a fittingly small price. The Dodge Dakota, on the other hand, was unashamed of its full-size aspirations, offering more room, towing and payload capacity than its diminutive rivals. V8 power was available too. And, in the case of the Dodge Dakota R/T, it had a torque-happy 5.9L V8 that even had muscle car drivers saying "what the truck?!"...

Review of the 2015 Kia Soul: Living Up to its Name! test 1-1

If we are being honest with ourselves, there are some cars we want to buy; and then there are some cars we… have to buy. Be it because of financial restrictions due to school, work (or the lack thereof), family obligations, or any other number of reasons, most of us have had to come to grips with the fact that, although we may want an M3, perhaps we may have to settle for something a little less… premium.

The Car Sighting Sickness

The Car Sighting Sickness test 1-1

If you're anything like me, when you're out and about doing just about anything in life, your eyes are always open and scanning the roads and parking lots for that one rare automobile. It never has to be anything particular, just something a little more rare and unique than your average Honda Civic. Some cars garner more of a reaction than others:  Corvettes are nice, Porsche Turbos get a glance and a nod, a Nissan GT-R will probably get a peek in the window (no touching the windows, and not long enough to be confused with a potential carjacker, of course). A Viper will usually elicit a "Whoa!" from passers-by, and a Lotus Elise will have most novices wondering, "Is that a dune buggy?"

Review of the 2015 Acura TLX: Best of Both Worlds

2015 Acura TLX test 2

For someone who has owned an Acura TL in the past, we can attest that, for the money, it is one of the best cars out there. I have always been impressed with Acura's entries into the luxury market, as they take so many of the drawbacks of other luxury models and make them strengths. Where BMW will make you add each and every item you want as an additionally costed item, Acura makes most of those things standard fare, making the base price a lot closer to the sticker price than BMW or Mercedes.

2013-2014 Dodge Dart recalled over power brake failure test 1-1

In terms of affordable transportation, the Dodge Dart is tough to beat. It's got some peppy drivetrains, lots of interior room, and style for days. It was also quite a safe little car, until it was discovered that the brakes could suddenly lose power assist, which could turn the little Dart into a Projectile...

Beater That's Hard To Beat: 2003-2007 Honda Accord Coupe

On: Fri, Dec 4, 2015 at 3:26PM | By: Teddy Field

2003-2007 Honda Accord Coupe test 2

In terms of blue chip transportation, the Honda Accord is tough to beat. It has lots of practical features, reliable engines, and it's not bad to drive either. But if you want something a bit more interesting, the 2003-2007 Honda Accord Coupe does everything the sedan can do, but with a bit more... style. And that makes it a beater that's hard to beat...
