With all the attention that electric vehicles, driverless cars, and even advanced hybrids get in both the press and the automotive circuit, it's easy to forget about the vehicle's tires, which often don't get as much of the glory, especially on modern cars. Part of this is because the basic shape of a tire has changed very little over the years, despite advancements in rubber and tread technology; however, a new tire concept from Goodyear will completely redefine what we perceive as a tire, while also introducing the world to an all-new driving experience.

If you sit back and think about just how many different model cars have come off the assembly lines, it's amazing that we remember any of them at all. Sure, you personally might remember your first car, but, by and large, not too many of us are really emotionally vested in a 1987 Buick Skylark the way you might be. But then there are cars that come along every once in a great while that we as a collective civilized world can appreciate. Cars that are so striking, and so stunning that men and women who have no automotive knowledge whatsoever become awestruck and mesmerized by the mere sight of one of these mighty machines. That list of cars is very short, but it can be argued that at the top of that very short list lies one car, and one car only—the Ferrari F40.

It was unknown if the novel technology would make it through the rigorous screening of the federal government, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has now approved the technology for production vehicles.

Excellent, state of-the-art transportation, but a poor driving experience perhaps best sums up this Focus. Maybe that is to be expected from an entry-level economy car, but since previous generations Focus drove well, even in poverty specification, your writer was hoping for more. Surprisingly the Focus remained likeable, but be clear: This is transportation in the airport monorail sense of the word far more than it is a car in the Big Block Chevelle sense of the word.
