So, you see a commercial for a hot new car or you see one in your neighbor’s driveway and you think, “Man, I’d like to drive one of those!” You aren’t in the market for a new vehicle, but your interest is piqued and you call the dealership to see if you can drive one. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has launched a preliminary investigation concerning 2004-2007 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, and Mercury Marauder vehicles, all produced by Ford. The investigation stems from five complaints received by the NHTSA stating that the vehicles became difficult or impossible to steer while driving.

Ford is recalling 92,022 vehicles due to a defective part which could cause a “loss of drive function” and carries a rollaway risk if the gearshift is placed in park without using the parking brake also.

Ford is recalling 2,124 Escape SUVs for a problem with the glass roof panel which “may have an improperly cured urethane bond between the glass and the attaching bracket,” according to Ford, which may “result in noise, water leakage or separation of the glass panel from the vehicle, potentially increasing the risk of accident or injury.”
