The Chevy Bolt:: Is It The Breakthrough EV Drivers Have Been Waiting For? test 1-1

All-electric cars are to the automotive industry what Star Trek’s warp drive is to NASA: a vision that promises an oasis from all the limits imposed by current technology. Problem is, the vision may be nothing more than a mirage. Or maybe not, if the new Chevy Bolt lives up to its hype.

Unfortunately for the guys in Munich, the new Mercedes S-Class is now the equivalent of an iPhone 6 to BMW’s tin-can-and-a-string. But BMW hath redrawn their motorized lewd gesture, and some spy photographer has caught one completely undressed... months before its scheduled reveal.

Every car company that can is making serious hay out of every anniversary they can find. Problem is, in a lot of cases, there have to be some asterisks slipped in due to, say, Chevy never producing a 1983 model Corvette, yet claiming an unbroken chain of manufacture since its introduction in 1953.

Ten years ago, at the 2005 Detroit Auto Show, Ford unveiled what they thought would be accepted as the successor—“spiritually”, at least—to the 1960s phenomenal Ford GT/GT 40. Billed—by Ford, naturally—as “the world’s mightiest supercar”, it featured a mid-mounted, quad-turboed six-liter V12 said to put 720 horsepower and 660 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear wheels.

Volkswagen appears to be preparing to introduce a new crossover concept at the 2015 North American International Auto Show next month. If statements from several sources close to the German automaker are found to be true it would point to what could be an expansion of an upcoming lineup of CUVs from VW. The aim seems to be to give VW a larger share of the growing CUV segment while also reversing souring sales numbers here in the U.S. market.

Pretty Pweeese! Volkswagen Golf R 400 May Be Headed For Production test 1-1

Every car nut loves a hot-hatch. They handle like a sports car, have plenty of power, yet they still offer all the practicality found in a normal hatchback. The Volkswagen Golf GTI is the recognized standard bearer, but the 395hp Volkswagen Golf R 400 takes that recipe to a whole other level. And it may be headed for the production line.

Nissan Engineering Team Builds All-Electric Pickup Truck test 1-1

Throughout most of their history, pickup trucks have been all about size and power—which makes sense, given that they’re also all about work. But, if a new concept vehicle from Nissan catches on, all of that may be about to change. Dubbed “Sparky,” it brings modern battery technology to the truck world.

The Most Interesting Toyota Camry...Ever!! test 1-1

The words "wow" and "holy crap", have never been used to describe a Toyota Camry. This silently-snooty transportation device has mastered mediocrity and elevated adequacy to an art form. They sell like hotcakes because everybodyknows that you “can’t go wrong with a Camry”. But Toyota’s CEO recently decreed that forthcoming cars bearing his family name, be injected with some excitement. And this 2015 Toyota Camry has just annihilated our perception of the most boring car on earth.
