Lamborghini Estoque To Spawn Four-Seat Convertible test 2

It seems a little early to start talking about Lamborghini sedan spin-offs. After all, official word is that a potential sedan model is still in hot competition with an SUV for the coveted third spot in Lambo's line. So keep in mind this is a rumor built on top of a rumor.

According to Top Speed, Lamborghini is already planning a convertible version of its sedan. The convertible would hit the market about two years after the hard-topped model.

Latest Ferrari Design Comes From Hong Kong

Latest Ferrari Design Comes from Hong Kong test 2

The fluid lines and perfect curves of Ferrari can originate nowhere else but the style and design capital that is Italy. Or at least that's what we thought. Eternita, the winner of the Ferrari World Design Contest, is as uncompromisingly attractive as most any Ferrari, but it doesn't come from Italy, or Europe. It comes from a group of South Korean students, and it beats out an entry from Turin, to boot.

The design was created by three students from Hongzik University in South Korea: Kim Cheong Ju, Ahn Dre and Lee Sahngseok. They beat 50 other entries from universities around the world.

Mercedes SLC: It's About Time!

Mercedes SLC: It's About Time! test 1-1

It seems a bit long overdue, but it has finally been confirmed that Mercedes is finally building a Porsche/Corvette fighting sports coupe. Sure the SLK Roadster is a lot of fun, but the fact of the matter is it just can’t compete on the track with anything more than 250 horsepower. Even with its new redesign, it’s a fun car, but real enthusiasts aren’t going to flock towards it, no matter how pretty. On the other end of the spectrum, the drop-dead gorgeous high-end SLS AMG is a premium blend bruiser. Unlike the mass produced SLK, the SLS AMG is too exotic, and far too expensive for most enthusiasts to afford, or to drive with any amount of regularity (presuming they want to preserve it to any extent). So Mercedes has solved that problem by creating car in between the two that will be called the SLC.

Kia Gets Juice: Two V-8 Concepts Coming in Next Year test 1-1

Korean cars have really come a long way in the past few decades. Growing up, I remember the brand "Hyundai" being equivalent to "cheap, Korean junk." But, more recently, Hyundai has established itself as a manufacturer of award-winning and even luxurious automobiles like the Equus and Genesis. It's a whole 'nother Hyundai.

Renault Shows Off Dual-Functioned, Electric Frendzy Concept test 1-1

The hot, long, quiet days of summer are upon us. Being that it's an odd year, means that it's the perfect time to start showing and discussing Frankfurt Motor Show debuts. Renault took just that liberty last week, unveiling a concept that it calls "Frendzy."

More Teasing Than Necessary: Infiniti JX Concept

More Teasing Than Necessary: Infiniti JX Concept test 1-1

Are you the type of guy or gal that gets all excited and drooly over a crossover? If so, Infiniti's got just the drug you need—a slow, half-year teaser campaign for its upcoming JX crossover concept. If not, well, you're just an average person, because who's really that excited for yet another luxury crossover?

Don't get me wrong; I like teaser campaigns. When the car is something worth teasing, something like the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. I don't even mind them if it's a new production model that people are particularly excited about. But who really gets that excited about a crossover concept?

Official Word: V12 Zagato On Sale And Overpriced test 1-1

Well, it's really no surprise at this point, but the Aston Martin V-12 Zagato is officially headed to production. Aston made the announcement earlier this week and provided pricing and availability information for the limited edition, V-12-Vantage-based creation.

Joss JP1 Supercar Gets A Little More Official

On: Sat, Jul 9, 2011 at 9:42AM | By: Chris Weiss

Joss JP1 Supercar Gets A Little More Official test 1-1

One day, if I ever became incredibly rich, I'm going to take a supercar tour of the world. It seems like every major country has a supercar these days, and it would be fun to test them one by one to see which nationality offers the best combination of power, speed, handling, engineering, design, comfort, etc. Then I'd purchase my self-tested winner (or maybe winners) and have it shipped back here to my massive garage in the U.S.

That tour will soon have to include a stop down under, because he Joss JP1 (aka Australia's supercar) is moving closer to production. A prototype version was recently shown at the Australian International Motor Show.

Flying Car Gets A Couple Thumbs Up From Government

Terrafugia Flying Car test 2

Look outside your window onto any crowded street or city sidewalk and you'll see throngs of disappointed adults. They may not show it on their faces at all times; they may even appear happy and jovial. But don't be fooled; they're disappointed deep down.

Thanks to cartoons and television programs like The Jetsons, these adults grew up with expectations of driving around skyways in flying vehicles. Not planes, but flying cars that could replace slower, more tedious ground driving. And, as of the year 2011, not so much as a single, multi-million-dollar flying car-for-the-stars exists.

FPV's Blacked-Out, Supercharged 5.0-liter Mustang GT

FPV—Supercharged 5.0-liter Mustang GT test 2

The Australian International Motor Show is typically just a tad too far 'down under' to play out like a Geneva or Paris in terms of scores of awesome concepts, supercars and new production models. But don't think there's no hot, new hardware coming out of Melbourne. The show is going on now, and to prove that there are some exciting dream cars on our favorite island continent, Ford Australia's tuning arm, Ford Performance Vehicles, debuted a fully black Mustang that it calls its "first-ever concept car."
