Is the 2014 Buick Enclave Vomit-Proof?

Is the 2014 Buick Enclave Vomit-Proof? test 1-1

I get car sick. It’s worse in the back seat and is triggered mostly by reading while the car is moving. This is a problem since usually my husband drives and I am expected to navigate to previously unvisited destinations. I was so happy when GPS navigation arrived. Now he can listen to a pleasant and relaxed voice giving him directions instead of my nauseous and frustrated voice just telling him where to go.

Take Note of This Awesome Paint test 1-1

When I was a child I loved the car wash. Not the driveway model or the fundraising model which required hands on application of cleaning products and a muscle-powered wax job. No, I liked the drive-through ones that felt a little scary, like you were traveling through the belly of a monster. While these were a time saving marvel when they first hit the market, they may soon be making way for more modern technology such as a product Nissan engineers are currently testing.

A Glowing Idea from the Netherlands

A Glowing Idea from the Netherlands test 1-1

Ah, the Dutch! We have them to thank for red light cameras. Good thing they aren’t close by. I don’t think many of us are happy with that invention. Daan Roosegaarde (boy, the Dutch love double letters!) may have an idea to make up for the dreaded cameras.

Bridgestone Offers a Smooth Ride Even with a Flat

Bridgestone Offers a Smooth Ride Even with a Flat test 1-1

I’ve been lucky enough to have never had a flat tire on a roadway. I’ve found my tire flat in my driveway, having run over a nail the day before which produced a slow leak. I came close to a flat while driving only once and that was scary enough. My tire had a small football-shaped bubble on the side which made a funny noise. This caused me to stop to investigate and replace it with my spare. On the way home from my destination the tire exploded in the back of my car. There was no damage but it sounded like a gunshot inside the car, producing some extraordinary emotional discomfort.

Volvo Making Child Car Seats?

Volvo Making Child Car Seats? test 1-1

When I had my first child I was 22 and I weighed less than 100 pounds. Getting from one place to another in my car was quite a feat for me. It required lugging my purse, diaper bag, infant seat/ car seat, and my son to my vehicle and then, once at my destination, lugging all of it out again. It was cumbersome and heavy. I hate to think what a spectacle I made in the process.

More Aluminum Vehicles Due from Ford test 1-1

With the recent regulations that require auto manufacturers to reduce CO2 emissions from their vehicles by four percent annually, it’s no surprise that many companies are looking for more creative ways to boost fuel efficiency. At the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, Ford revealed the new F-150 which was made with aluminum instead of steel. Using the lighter metal reduces the weight of the vehicle by 700 pounds compared to the same model the year before.
