Thundertaker custom Cadillac hearse test 2

Not that many people say this very often, but it's probably a good thing that I'm not rich. I would, naturally, spend a large amount of my money on cars, which is not a bad thing, it's just that the cars I'd spend money on wouldn't exactly endear me to the rest of my family.

Granted, having the world's largest collection of station wagons wouldn't be the worst thing for them to inherit, but even with the recent—and forecast—increase in values for wagons, chances are that they'd just break even if they sold the lot.

Gooding & Co.'s Amelia Island auction sells seventeen of Seinfeld's finest for $22,244,500 test 1-1

I've never understood the fascination people have with Porsches, and I'm apparently not alone. Hell, the world is filled with idiots that don't even know it's pronounced poor-SHA. (And that's everywhere, every time, jerks. No exceptions.)

Haunted Highways: Ferrari F40 test 1-1

If you sit back and think about just how many different model cars have come off the assembly lines, it's amazing that we remember any of them at all. Sure, you personally might remember your first car, but, by and large, not too many of us are really emotionally vested in a 1987 Buick Skylark the way you might be. But then there are cars that come along every once in a great while that we as a collective civilized world can appreciate. Cars that are so striking, and so stunning that men and women who have no automotive knowledge whatsoever become awestruck and mesmerized by the mere sight of one of these mighty machines. That list of cars is very short, but it can be argued that at the top of that very short list lies one car, and one car only—the Ferrari F40.

1996-1999 Ford Taurus SHO test 2

Back in 1996, the Ford Taurus was America's favorite midsize sedan. Everybody had to have one, from mothers and carpet salesmen to government agencies and rental fleets. They tried to make it look futuristic with lots of circles and swoops. Then they tried to make it fast by shoving a V8 under the hood. Now you're probably thinking, "Wait, it's FWD, won't it torque steer and understeer?", and you'd be right. But in 1996, everything was front-wheel drive, and the V8-powered Ford Taurus SHO was a rocketship...

What the Truck?! - Review Of The Isuzu VehiCROSS test 1-1

In 1999, Americans were falling madly in love with the SUV. Small ones, big ones, bigger ones. It didn't matter as long as they looked tough, and sat up real high so mommy could feel important. Earlier in the decade, Isuzu had abandoned efforts to sell cars in the United States, opting instead to base their entire survival on selling SUVs. To bring attention to this novel idea, Isuzu created the VehiCROSS as a sort of technical showcase/halo truck. That's why they crammed it full of innovative features, made it drive like a sports car, and gave it bodywork that would make anyone say, What the Truck?!

 BMW Z8 test 2

In 1997 BMW debuted a concept car called the Z07. It was an instant success on the show circuit, and not being a company to rest on its laurels BMW quickly got the Z07 onto the production line only two short years later and dubbed it the Z8—and the world was instantly better for it.
