Meet the Mean One: The Yenko Super Camaro test 1-1

If you're a Camaro fan, then you've undoubtedly heard of the Yenko Camaro. A tire-melting dragstrip legend that was born at a time when gas was cheap and love was free. Racing driver Carroll Shelby had started turning Ford's little Mustang into a stoplight god, and Chrysler dealers were equally well-armed with the 426 Hemi-powered GTX. These muscle-bound monsters were specifically made for road racing, and came with almost no options to reduce weight. Chevrolet's new Camaro would also get the Skunkwerks treatment in 1967, as SCCA racer and Chevrolet dealer Don Yenko turned the General's little pony into one of the most legendary muscle cars of all time.

Ram Unveils Rumble Bee Concept Truck

Ram Unveils Rumble Bee Concept Truck test 1-1

In the late 60s and early 70s, the upwardly-mobile baby boomers were just hitting their stride. American automakers were clamoring for their business as performance cars flowed from Detroit like honey from a hive. They tried all sorts of 'hip' new ways to lure 20-somethings into the showrooms, and Chrysler Corp decided to take a rather cartoon-y approach with cars like the Warner Brothers-Approved Plymouth Road Runner, the Tasmanian Devil's Plymouth Duster, and the angry Dodge Super Bee. They tried to recreate some of the muscle-bound madness in 2004-2005 with the Dodge Ram Rumble Bee trim pack. No performance mods were made to the truck, but it was every bit as cartoon-y as the original Super Bee. And to mark the 10-year anniversary of that Rumble Bee, Dodge—excuse me—Ram, has just unveiled an all-new Rumble Bee, and it looks even angrier than the first swarm of Rumble Bees.

LeFerrari test 2

The "LeFerrari" is one of the worst names ever conceived for a vehicle. And that's a damn shame because the car promises to be one of the most awesome exotics of our generation. Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso cashed in on that promise in a short video clip that takes us in and out of the LeFerrari.

Bentley unveils Le Mans Edition of the Mulsanne test 1-1

In May of 1923, W.O. Bentley traveled to France to attend the inaugural running of a new 24-hour endurance race, being held in the streets outside of a little town called Le Mans. One of W.O.'s customers had entered a 1923 Bentley 3-liter in the race, and wound up finishing 4th overall. During the race, driver Frank Clement set the first lap record, covering the 10.7 mile course in 9:39, at an average speed of 66 mph. Enthused by his car's performance, Bentley returned the following year to claim victory against a field of all-French cars. And to honor the 90th Anniversary of this legendary endurance race, W.O.'s company unveiled a very special Mulsanne Le Mans Limited Edition at this week's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Toyota kills-off the Tacoma X-Runner

Toyota kills-off the Tacoma X-Runner test 1-1

America consumes more pickup trucks per year than any nation on earth. We're a land of can-doer's, and we like vehicles that can help us get the job done. The big, brawny Ford F-150 has been America's best-selling vehicle for decades, but there are some people that don't need quite as much 'truck' to get the job done. For them, Toyota created the right-size Tacoma, and it's been leading the midsize pickup category for quite some time. From simple fleet trucks to luxuriously appointed off-roaders, buyers can choose from many versions of Toyota's little truck. Unfortunately though, Toyota has just announced that one of its Tacoma flavors won't be returning for 2014. So we must bid farewell to the Toyota Tacoma X-Runner- the hot little sport truck that you've probably never heard of.

Tesla Motors Aims To Be The Future of Automobiles test 1-1

If you haven’t heard of Tesla Motors, chances are you soon will. The upstart auto company is barely 10 years old and is already one-quarter the size of GM. Motor Trend magazine named the manufacturer’s latest vehicle, the Model S, 2013’s Car of the Year. Its developments in battery technology have set it far ahead of its competitors, including global giants like Nissan, and its stock price has gone through the roof, from $32 in early 2013 to over $120 at the time of this writing. Yet, whether the company will be able to continue its momentum depends on how successful it is with middle-class car buyers.

Haunted Highways: A Series Exploring The Ghosts of Cars Gone By (Quickly) test 1-1

To commemorate Porsche's 50th birthday year, we have decided to take a look back at one of their greatest creations. While, there are some who would argue that nothing that comes off the assembly line in Zuffenhausen, Germany is anything but great, there is still no argument that there is a caste system among even the most die-hard Porsche-o-philes. And barring the occasional ardent contrarian, more often than not, when you ask what the single greatest Porsche ever made was, you are more than likely to get the same answer the majority of the time:  The 959.

Aston Martin's New Flagship Is Good For 205 MPH V12 test 1-1

Every car to wear an Aston Martin badge is somehow special. But Gaydon's latest creation is sure to vault the boutique GT builder to new heights of performance. Not since the One-77 hypercar has Aston Martin dared to offer a car that was this powerful, or this fast. Production of the One-77 was limited to just 77 units, and it carried an equally exclusive seven-figure price tag. The 2014 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S, on the other hand, is a serial production model, and it starts at a more reasonable $184,995. Mr. Bond, your new whip has arrived.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series - The New King of Crossovers test 1-1

Every once in a while a car comes along that we term a "crossover". Now, when we say crossover, we are definitely not talking about a Buick Enclave or a Toyota Venza here. Make no mistake, in no way are we referring to a car that crosses over two different vehicle genres. Oh no, when we talk about a car that can be termed a "crossover-car", it means something else entirely. A crossover-car is a car that is so beautiful, so special, that it can take a die-hard enthusiast from one car company and make them crossover to become a true lover of another car company. These cars don't come along too often, but when they do, they are something special. The most recent addition to the crossover-car list is none other than the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series.
