After letting rumors pile up for years, Chevy has provided a few basic details on the next-generation Corvette. The car will debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in January.
With the official debut still three months away, Chevy hasn't provided any real details that folks that follow such things want to know. It has, however, revealed the new Crossed Flags logo that will appear on the seventh-generation Corvette's hood.

The Sao Paulo Auto Show may not be as big a spot on the radar as Paris or LA, but Nissan appears to have some big plans for this year's show. The automaker has teased a concept that it says will be a "unique new genre to the automotive world."
Automakers don't have much shame when it comes to hyperbole about events, so we're not taking the new genre thing too literally until we actually see it. From the two teaser pictures, the concept appears to be fairly aggressively styled and looks like it could be a convertible, which was the subject of Nissan's last genre creation. Of course, the car is cut off in the photos, so it could very well be a hard-top.

The Fiat 500 hasn't exactly received a warm welcome since coming to the U.S., but maybe that's because people still think of the minicar (and Fiat in general) as too European. Maybe the car needs more of an American vibe, and what better way to supply it than with a nostalgic surf motif.
The Fiat 500 Beach Cruiser is one of about two dozen custom cars that Fiat/Chrysler brands will be bringing to the SEMA show at the end of the month. The Beach Cruiser's widened body is painted matte gray and includes a set of bulging fender flares. The prototype Mopar wheels get some red paint that offsets the gray. Satin, brushed finish decorates the center caps, door handles, mirrors and front fascia elements. The Mopar hood and rear deck lid get hot rod-style accents.

Next to the McLaren P1, the most anticipated supercar of the year is easily the Ferrari Enzo successor, thought to be called the F-70. We had heard that the mid-engined car would debut this year, but we also heard it would be next year. It turns out both those were (kind of) right. Ferrari showed the carbon fiber monocoque that the F-70 is based on at the Paris Motor Show earlier this month, and it will debut the actual car at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in January.
The F70 is next in a lineage of high-tech, race inspired supercars like the Enzo and F40. That line has been silent since Ferrari ended Enzo production in 2004, so the F-70 is kind of a big deal for Ferrari and supercar fans.

After years’ worth of sedan rumors, it's looking like Lamborghini's first four-door will come in a slightly different form. Instead of designing a new four-door model, like it did with the Estoque concept, Lamborghini will reportedly extend the wheelbase of its Aventador coupe and add a pair of clamshell doors.
CAR magazine reports that Lamborghini will unveil the Aventador GT at next year's Geneva Motor Show. It won't exactly be a proper sedan, but it will have two small jump seats in back, along with two small suicide doors. The GT will be planted on an extended wheelbase. To go along with its more road trip-friendly demeanor, the Aventador GT will also receive some softening in terms of styling - at least as much softening as you can get while still being a Lamborghini Aventador.

It’s October, and for those of us in Central Florida that means three things: 1) pumpkin-flavored everything, 2) slightly milder weather (highs in the upper-80s/lower-90s), 3) and the Lake Mirror Classic Auto Festival and Auction. October 19-21, hundreds of beautiful cars and thousands of eager enthusiasts will fill the picturesque streets of downtown Lakeland and surround the restored 1920’s art deco-inspired Lake Mirror promenade.

Honda unveiled the 2013 three-door Honda CR-Z at the Indonesia International Motor Show. Until now, the Japanese auto-maker had only released images of the face-lifted hatchback.
A major exterior change for the new CR-Z is a redesigned front grill sans the vertical bars. A new and more pronounced front bumper encasing modified LED running lights sit below HID headlamps. Completing the exterior changes are LED lamp clusters at the rear, new exterior mirrors, rear diffuser and new 17-inch wheels.

It's funny to see how differently automakers approach debuts and auto shows. Some remain tight lipped until the day of their press conference and shock the world. Some tease us ad naseum with out of focus photos and conceptual videos. And some just straight up spill all the beans well before the show.
Lexus is in that last tier when it comes to the LF-CC concept. It provided various photos and a full press release on the car earlier this week, and now it's added a two-minute video clip of the car.

One of the most anticipated cars of 2012 is finally here...for the most part. McLaren has confirmed and previewed its F1-succeeding flagship supercar. While McLaren is keeping the details mum until the Paris Motor Show, it has provided several pictures for us to ogle and analyze.
For months, rumors have ebbed and flowed about the supercar. We've heard several names such as the P12 and 799, but McLaren is calling it the P1...for now. The model is just a design study at this point, andreports suggest that it will receive a more proper model name in production, though we kind of like the simplicity of "P1" over the mish-mash of letters and numbers that create "MP4-12C."

Earlier this year, Lexus made a stir with the sporty 2 + 2 concept it calls the LF-LC. For the Paris Motor Show, it will premiere the closely related LF-CC concept. Conveniently enough for us impatient industry watchers, Lexus has revealed and detailed the sporty concept ahead of the Paris world debut.
A little more polished, but a little less dazzling than the LF-LC, the LF-CC molds some of the LC's styling cues into a more compact package. The car shares prominent elements like the spindle grille and air intakes below the headlamps, but makes a clearly distinguished move from "dramatic concept" toward "production-ready sports car." It includes a sporty, rear-slung profile; raked windshield; trunk spoiler; and bold front fenders. The airflow regulating fins toward the rear fenders help to increase down force on the rear drive wheels. The car is brushed in Fluid Titanium paint.

The Paris Motor Show is just around the corner, and automakers are busy teasing, hyping and straight out revealing their latest vehicles and concepts. Suzuki will debut the sporty new S-Cross small crossover concept at the show, and it's released a new teaser photo to provide a peek at the car.
Suzuki previously described the S-Cross as "typified by distinctive dynamic lines that start on the front bumper, sweep across the doors, and continue to the rear of the body." It also mentioned that a "cutting edge crossover look" is underpinned by design elements that convey stability and solidity. In other words, mostly marketing mumbo jumbo.
