Forza 3 Draws Nigh . . . Well, The Demo Anyway

OmigawdOmigawdOmigawd! Forza three is almost here! You can take your Gran Turismos and your NFS Shifts and you can pound them squarely into your under-stimulated colon. Forza Motorsport has claimed the title of "Most Well Rounded Simulator" (my own award; I'm sure somebody disagrees) since its inception, 'Forza Motorsport' on the original Xbox. No other game has offered the level of customizationa and realism that Forza displays. Period.

For the third installment, due out in October, the Car-Stag gets even hawter. 400 or more cars, 100 or more tracks (to be updated and added to over Xbox Live), detail that will make your butt pucker, and the awesome, but reasonably difficult to use, Livery generator.

Instead of making you complete a set series of races, Forza 3 will tailor the race events it presents you with based on your preferences. In other words, I'll play this game for five minutes and it's going to spit out a plethora of Le Mans-style GT2 races for me. That is the way I'm deciphering the press material, but you're welcome to view Turn Ten's Forza Motorsports homepage.

A demo will be available September 24th in the Xbox Live Marketplace and will feature five playable cars: 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR, 2007 Porsche #80 Flying Lizard 911 GT3 RSR, 2009 Ferrari California, 2009 Mini John Cooper Works, and the 2010 Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro. The demo will also preview many of the games new features and functions.

Those cars are all well and good, but I'm salivating over the all E30 M3, AMG C-Class, and C4 Corvette drift team I'll be spending several hundred man-hours creating. Now I just have to come up with some smarmy sounding team name . .. hhmmm, lets see, "BabyEaters-D", "Buffalo Bill's Garage", "The Dillinger Drift Plan" . .. the possibilities are endless. Unfortunately the full game doesn't drop until October..

Here is some more video goodness; make sure you're wearing a bib . . .

. .. and why not another one?
