AutoShopperBlog Personas For Mozilla Firefox!

We know you love reading the AutoShopperBlog on a daily basis, not because you have to, because you want to. With that in mind we have developed a way for Mozilla Firefox users to stare at their favorite AutoShopper photography instead of finishing those dreaded TPS Reports. These "Personas" work only with Firefox , are free, and feature as much racing hooliganism as we can fit into a 3000x200 rectangle. A very kewl way to spice up your browser that doesn't involve unicorns or Japanese animation or blinged-out Escalades that are so off-center you can see only half of one massive chromed wheel.

The next three Personas bring our total to six, and feature content that again spans the AutoShopperBlog's exploits during 2009 and 2010. We have some Sebring, some Lake Mirror Classic, and some RedLine Time Attack, all prominently featured on this blog over the course of the last year. Venture inside the post for AutoShopper Mozilla branding worthy of the finest desktops . . .

Click on the image of each Persona for a link to the Mozilla Personas website, and all AutoShopperBlog Personas:

Our first Mozilla Persona is of the No.92 Rahal/BMW M3 GT, in the process of hauling serious ass. This image was taken by Aliza Smylie, at the elbow of Turn Seven, during the 2010 Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring. Hour number nine if I'm not mistaken. We snapped a ton of great shots over the course of this sweltering March afternoon, of everything from monstrous Corvettes, the svelte Aston/Lola, nearly silent Peugeots, and of course, Bill Auberlen and the No.92 BMW. It was a fantastic race, and now I can relive it daily, on my browser.

Everybody recognizes a '56 Chevy immediately, but a Ford Fairlane is just as cool and twice as rare. This Persona comes from an image taken by Drew Christy at last year's Lake Mirror Classic. Seen in the image gallery, it pays homage to the original AutoShopper website, and adds a 'classic' touch to any overwrought technocentric desktop. Some things were just fine without computers, Ford's design studio being one of them. The original, 32-year-old AutoShopper publication, is another.

Sifting through the hordes of Evos and WRXs and GTRs at this year's Sebring round of the RedLine Time Attack, wasn't easy. Mixed in with all of the screaming, baby-eating Japanese iron one was able to spot a few decidedly well prepared Europeans. Why, there's one now, a pristine 996 Porsche 911 GT2. Flat black, serious rolling stock, and a boxer rumble that will rearrange poorly seated fillings, even at idle. Not prominently featured in any of our posts on the RLTA, this car almost required its own Persona. This is the sort of creepy yet unbelievably muscle-bound German that would invite you in, feed you strudel, and then butcher you with a full-tang, case-hardened, Messermiester cleaver. Attractive and charming at first sight, this car is able to open skulls and tear ass around a race track as well as any of its competition, and it was driven home. Good thing it's a car and not a West German pyscho. Well, actually, it is a West German psycho . . .
