Toyota Verso-S Debuts in Upcomming Paris Auto Show

Toyota will be unveiling many new models at the Paris Motor Show this fall, including the Verso-S, a "small, spacious and smart" vehicle. While details are limited, the model will have iQ-inspired styling with many options for interior features. Toyota is keeping most of the specs of the Verso-S silent until the Motor Show press release on September 30th, but the company has revealed that the Verso-S is likely to go on sale in the UK early in 2011.

Measuring less than 13 feet in length, Toyota says the Verso-S will be the most compact B-segment MPV in Europe, but points out that the Verso-S has been designed and engineered with comfort and practicality in mind, offering the maximum use of the seating and cargo space that the vehicle does have. Toyota also plans to introduce many other new and refreshed models at the Paris Motor Show including a revised interior for the compact iQ, and the launch of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid, and the Auris HSD (Hybrid Synergy Drive).

Other highlights of the show that Toyota is planning include the Hybrid Synergy Drive Gallery and the FT-CH concept, which originally debuted at the 2010 North American International Auto Show.

Toyota is presenting the Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) technology as the focus of its presence at the show with the recent launch of the British-built Auris HSD which is the first full hybrid in the C-segment. The modularity of HSD enables it adaptable for use with different power sources which is reflected in Prius Plug-in Hybrid. European sales of the Prius have now surpassed 200,000 units, making it clear that there is a significant market for hybrids in Europe.

The Toyota Verso-S is expected to be launched on the market at the beginning of 2011. According to Toyota, the car represents an “object lesson in space management”. The Toyota Verso-S features an intelligent design, and even with its limited size Toyota is saying the car offers a spacious interior. No other details (such as trim levels, engine size, gas mileage or other specs) have thus far been released regarding the Verso-S.

The price of the Toyota Verso-S will also remain unknown until closer to the launch date.

Toyota has promised that more details regarding the new 2011 models will be released at a later date, so stay tuned!
