The 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150

The 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 merges the reliability and smooth handling of the best selling F-Series Trucks with the infamous style of Harley Davidson. The new 2011 model sports a 6.2-liter V8 engine that is now standard. The F-150 SVT Raptor delivers a whopping 411 hp and 434 lb-ft. of torque, which means this year’s model is the most powerful and capable Harley Davidson F-150 ever built. The truck has the towing capacity of a heavy duty truck at 9,300 lbs.

“This engine has tons of torque and already has been proven in the field with both the F-150 SVT Raptor and Super Duty,” said Mike Harrison, V8 engine program manager. “The exhaust for the Ford Harley-Davidson edition has been specially tuned to feature a throaty V8 rumble customers will love.”

Standard features for 2011 Harley-Davison F-150 include all the bells and whistles of modern auto technology such as the voice-activated Navigation System, a 4.2-inch productivity screen, power moonroof, and Remote Start System. Features including a standard 4.2-inch LCD (liquid crystal display) productivity screen. The standard voice-activated Navigation System integrates several functions including voice-recognition destination entry, climate control, and SIRIUS Satellite Radio into one system, all displayed on an 8 inch touch screen.

According to the chief engineer, Eric Kuehn: “The new 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 perfectly blends the flexibility and capability of F-Series trucks with the free spirit of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.” Kuehn also said, “both companies have a passion for the road, which shines through in our specialized truck.”

The partnership between these two iconic brands has launched nine F-150 models, as well as six Super Duty F-250 and F-350 models, and in 2009, the first Harley-Davidson F-450 edition truck.

The exterior of the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson offers a daring front fascia and six-bar-shaped front chrome grille with “Harley-Davidson” satin chrome badging. The truck also has a standard, fully integrated deployable running board, and 22-inch Euroflange forged wheels.

The exterior paint selection reflects classic Harley-Davidson styling with Ingot Silver and Tuxedo Black.

Interior trim panels are covered in Tuxedo Black paint; all interior chrome surfaces feature a new satin finish. Premium leather-trimmed seats come with accent color inserts and a unique badge. The custom interior details are reflective of the intent to create a truck that Ford and Harley-Davidson customers can really appreciate.

Design manager Brad Richards stated: “We take creation of the Ford Harley-Davidson trucks very seriously, but it’s also something we have a lot of fun with along the way.” Richards also said, “we hope that comes through in each of the finished trucks. We ensure Ford Harley-Davidson trucks exude the same bold personality as the legendary motorcycles.” Richards added, “We take two brands that are undeniably unique and forge a product that embodies the best qualities of both."

Thanks for the nice comments John! Ya was on my way to turn 15 to watch 5 guys looking for the door to door racing licence. I loved Sebring, great place to teach and it brings some driving and instructional challenges (like walls and lack of forward view) - you guys need to come to a complete weekend, take the free school (C/O redline) and take some attack laps.

all the best
