AutoShopperBlog Personas For Mozilla Firefox!

We know you love reading the AutoShopperBlog on a daily basis, not because you have to, because you want to. With that in mind we have developed a way for Mozilla Firefox users to stare at their favorite AutoShopper photography instead of finishing those dreaded TPS Reports. These "Personas" work only with Firefox , are free, and feature as much racing hooliganism as we can fit into a 3000x200 rectangle. A very kewl way to spice up your browser that doesn't involve unicorns or Japanese animation or blinged-out Escalades that are so off center you can see only half of one massive chromed wheel.

We have submitted three Mozilla Personas to Firefox so far, but will be adding more weekly. Click inside the post to adorn your browser with some AutoShopper eye-candy . . .

We have three Personas available so far, here they are, in no particular order. Click on the image of each Persona for a link to the Mozilla Personas website, and all AutoShopperBlog Personas:

"AutoShopperBlogGTO" This persona is built using an image taken by Aliza Smylie towards the end of the 2010 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Notice the incredible amount of exhaust soot blanketing this Pontiac's rear valance, a common sight after nearly 20 hours of continuous, 'redline in every gear' racing. Look in the image gallery for this post to see an example of this Persona over a browser.

"AutoShopperBlogJAG" Nothing more graceful than an old Jaguar, especially when it is having its barely-adequate wheels driven off. These images were captured by Drew Christy at the 2009 Roar and Soar, at the Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, Florida. This car was stunning, but even more unbelieveable was the way in which the owner flogged his blue kitty on the autocross. Impressive, and surly, the way a gorgeous car like this deserves to spend its senior years!

"AutoShopperBlogMSR" Finally, a Persona based on an image I'm responsible for. (John D. Welch, for those not paying attention . . .) This is the Michael Shank Racing Ford Dallara of Brian Frissell, moments after being punted from the lead of the 2010 Brumos Porsche 250 by an angry Ganassi-owned BMW Riley. Though this incident didn't bode well for the No. 6's race, it did provide me with one badass photo-op. After applying this Persona you will notice that the footer image (the part where we also remind you of "blog.autoshopper.com",) is the of the No.6 pulling back on to the course, another excellent chance to catch a Daytona Prototype at a speed somewhere south of 190 mph. Thats pretty damn rare.

The image gallery below features examples of each Persona on my desktop. Try before you 'click'!
