Anaheim Hosts Upcoming Mecum Auction
The summer is officially over, and, in most parts of the country, the crisp autumn air is cooling things considerably. However, there are a couple of areas that are fortunate enough to be able to enjoy mild weather all year around. Southern California is one of them, and there has always been a very robust automotive culture in SoCal. Car clubs have been popular in the greater Los Angeles area for decades, and there is also a number of automotive museums of note that attract thousands of automotive enthusiasts each year.
If you are anywhere near L.A., you may want to consider a very special event coming up in a few weeks. Mecum Auctions is always hard at work putting together extraordinary events, and they have an auction on the scheduled to take place in Anaheim, California. The city is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the entire country because it is a theme park mecca. This Orange County jewel is world renowned as the home of Disneyland, which was the first theme park of its kind. However, the offerings do not stop there. Knotts Berry Farm is nearby, and there are a number of additional attractions that are enjoyed by children and adults alike.
When you combine all of these entertainment opportunities with a world-class car auction, you are looking at a fun-filled weekend getaway. The Mecum Anaheim auction is going to be held November 17th through November 19th at the Anaheim Convention Center, located at 800 West Katella Avenue. There will be a mind-boggling array of classic vehicles for sale, so your interests will undoubtedly be piqued more than once if you attend the auction with your checkbook in hand.
One of the highlights for old-school aficionados is a sparkling teal and white 1957 Nash Metropolitan that has less than 1000 miles on a new engine that is completely correct. Personally, I'm a fan of Cadillac Eldorados from1970s through the middle of the 1980s, and there is a very cool 1985 Eldorado going up for bids at the auction. It's a one-owner, garage-kept carriage top that apparently has just under 30,000 original miles on it. These are just two of the many amazing vehicles that will be on display in Anaheim in November.
