Throughout The Car Industry
Las Vegas Is a Haven for Exotic Car Lovers
Las Vegas, Nevada is clearly one of the most desirable tourist destinations in the country, and most people have made the trip at one point or another. I have actually lived in Las Vegas for about 15 years, so I know more than a little about Sin City. When you think about Las Vegas, you are obviously going to think about gambling, nightclubs, shows, and restaurants. You can do all of that stuff if you want to, but this is an automotive website, so if you are reading this, you are probably an auto enthusiast. There are actually a lot of things to do in Las Vegas if you are someone who loves transportation-related entertainment. Let's look at a handful of the attractions that you may want to visit the next time you are in town.
The Auto Collections at The LINQ Hotel and Casino
The LINQ is a hotel and casino that was once the venerable Imperial Palace. There is a cluster of restaurants and shops in the adjoining shopping promenade, and the major landmark is one of the most distinctive additions to the Las Vegas landscape that we have seen in a while: The High Roller Ferris Wheel. There is a lot of fun to be had in the promenade, but for car buffs, The Auto Collections on the fifth levelof the hotel's parking facility will be part of the experience. There are about 300 classic cars on display, and they consistently add and subtract vehicles, so you will see different cars if you go to the museum on multiple visits to Las Vegas. Plus, if you hit it big on the tables, you can actually buy a classic car at The Auto Collections.
Las Vegas Car Museum
Another great place to visit, if you are a motor vehicle lover who is spending some time to Sin City, is the Las Vegas Car Museum. This attraction is located in the Palazzo Resort Hotel & Casino, and it houses some truly amazing exotic cars and motorcycles. Plus, they offer visitors the opportunity to take a Ferrari F430 for a test drive. There is a modest fee of $249.99, but it's Vegas, baby, you go big or go home.
Carrol Shelby Museum and Heritage Center
The last automotive attraction that we will recommend here is the Carroll Shelby Museum and Heritage Center. The creator of the iconic Shelby Cobra and the Shelby Mustang passed away a few years ago, but his legacy lives on through the company that he founded. You can see some amazing Shelby vehicles and learn about the man and his creations if you stop by the museum; admission is free.
