Throughout The Car Industry
Gear Up for the Memphis International Auto Show
For many of us, motor vehicles go hand-in-hand with music, and there have been countless songs written about cars, trucks, and motorcycles. This is a certain romanticism that is distinctly American. When it comes to cars, Detroit has always been the epicenter, and on the musical side, there are a handful of cities that stand apart from the others. Without question, Memphis, Tennessee is one of them. This southern city has deep musical roots in multiple different genres. The Memphis blues scene is legendary, and the town is known as the home of “The King Of Rock and Roll”, Elvis Presley. A visit to Graceland is probably on your bucket list, and if you love cars, there is a very special aspect to it. The Elvis Presley Automobile Museum was opened there in 1989, and it houses more than 20 cars that were once owned by the singer.
Memphis is a great place to travel to any time of the year, but there is an added reason to consider a visit during the month of October. The Memphis International Auto Show will be held from October 28th through the 30th at the Memphis Cook Convention Center. This show is of particular value if you are considering a new car purchase in the near future. Many people search the internet reading reviews, but there is no substitute for hands-on experience. It can be hard to find the time to drive from dealership to dealership to test drive cars, so you may settle for something without exploring all of your options.
The Memphis International Auto Show changes the playing field in this regard. There will be countless brand new makes and models on display, and there will be experts there to answer your questions. However, it will be a sales-free environment, so there will be no pressure or arm-twisting. Plus, test drives will be offered, and they are also going to display pre-production vehicles that will go on sale in the future.
This year, the show will be open from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and the hours will be 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 30th. Admission is just eight dollars for adults, and children 12 and under get in for free. The timing is perfect, because you can have a fantastic time in Memphis and get back home in time for Halloween.
