New Vinyl Graphics For Customization of Ford Models

Ford has developed a new website for its customers to easily create a personalized look for the Ford of their choice by adding a variety of choices of new vinyl graphics that mimic custom paint jobs and cost only half as much. The vinyl graphics are professionally installed at Ford dealerships and each one comes with a warranty.

There are virtually 50 different designs to choose from for every vehicle on the website, including Ford Taurus, Fiesta, Focus, Edge, Flex, Escape, Explorer, the F-Series trucks, and, of course, the Mustang (Mustang and F-150s are two of the most commonly customized vehicles), and many more.

The idea must have caught on from the recent Ford Fiesta/American Idol promotion where 12 custom-designed Fiestas were given away in a drawing to aspirant contenders. The new website makes it easy and affordable for Ford customers to personalize their ride by selecting the model and color of their Ford, then picking form dozens of custom vinyl graphics  to "try  before they buy," seeing exactly how the graphics will look on their automobile before purchasing any of the designs.

The website was originally launched in November for the Ford Fiesta, but now Ford plans to expand the service to just about every model they sell, including the F-Series trucks and the Ford Mustang. Long term plans are to offer customizable graphics to all vehicles that Ford makes. “Ford knows that customers want a vehicle to be all their own,” said Jim Abraham, Ford’s Licensed Accessories manager. “The Ford Custom Graphics website complements our strong accessory portfolio and enables customers to put a personal stamp on their vehicle.”

“You click on your vehicle and its exterior color, select the graphics you like, and then the website will show you exactly how the designs will look on your car or truck,” according to Abraham. Of the 50 designs that were were created specifically for each vehicle, customers can choose from a variety of colors and sizes which were created to target a specific consumer. For example, the Fiesta designs target a younger buyer with patterns such as bubbles and flowers. Mustang and F-150 designs are completely different configurations, such as a camouflage look. The website is fun; try it out at www.fordcustomgraphics.com. According to Ford, it will be around for a while and continue to evolve—just like the company has.
