Rock and Roll Legend Puts Lamborghini Miura Up for Sale

Rod Stewart is a genuine rock and roll legend who is often overlooked when conversations take place about the true greats. When you look at his list of accomplishments, you recognize just how successful he has been over the years.

Stewart, who was born in North London in 1945, has performed with many other legendary artists. Back in 1967 he became a member of the Jeff Beck Group, and Ronnie Wood, who went on to become a member of the Rolling Stones, was also on board at that time.

He is a Grammy award winner who has recorded 16 top ten singles, and he is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the United States. The singer was also inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame. Billboard Magazine included Stewart when they published their list of the top 100 musical artists of all-time in 2008. He came in at number 17, and Rolling Stone magazine named Stewart as the 59th greatest singer in music history.

Rod Stewart has been a huge name in the music business for a very long time, but he is also a big car guy, and he certainly does not fool around with second-rate vehicles. He has owned numerous spectacular super cars, including two Lamborghini Miuras. This is a rather attention-getting feat, because there aren't very many of them in existence.

When it was first released, the mid-engined Lamborghini Miura was the fastest car that money could buy. It was designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, and the first models were powered by a 3.9L Lamborghini V12. As for the fuel feed, we are talking about four Weber IDL40 3C 3bbl downdraught carburetors.

It all, there were 764 specimens created from 1966 through 1973.

Without question, the Lamborghini Miura is one of the most sought after collector cars on the planet, regardless of the ownership history. However, if you can get a model that was owned by a rock and roll legend, the cool factor increases exponentially.

This opportunity now presents itself, because Rod Stewart is selling his 1971 Miura. It has been expertly restored, and it can be yours for $1.92 million.

The price tag may be a little bit steep, but, hey, you will never be able to find another one with this kind of history behind it.
