Oh Yay! 2015 Honda Pilot Sprouts Yet Another Trim Level!

Back in the day, Hondas came in three flavors: DX, LX & EX. DX got you vinyl seats and steel wheels, LX-trimmed cars recieved body-colored bumpers and nicer upholstery, while the top-rung EX models got the big engine, fancy velour upholstery, and a digital clock! But times have changed, and now there’s a Honda trim level/option bundle for every price point. The new-for 2015 Honda Pilot SE adds yet another choice to this Value Menu, and it’s even got a cubby for your coupon binder!

Couponing requires a lot of time and effort to save 35¢. Of course, if you actually need 39 bottles of French’s Yellow Mustard, then yeah, doing the ole’ search & snip makes sense. For these bargain-hungry bipods, Honda created the value-minded 2015 Honda Pilot SE. It sits square in the middle of this very square CUV’s lineup, and it gives you extra features at a discounted price. Sort of like an 8-passenger coupon on wheels.

In Pilot parlance, the $29,870 Honda Pilot LX is the base model (power everything, ugly wheels), and the $32,120 Honda Pilot EX gets fancier alloy wheels, along with an upgraded interior. Further up the Pretension Scale sits the $35k Honda Pilot EX-L, with its heated leather thrones, and one-touch power moonroof. From here, you can add the rear-seat DVD babysitting system and a 115v power outlet for $36,970. Or, you can get all of that (minus the heated leather seats) for $33,120 when you redeem your 2015 Honda Pilot SE... coupon.

For good measure, Honda also throws in a set of pewter gray 18-inch alloys, Sirius XM radio, and lots of ‘Special Edition’ badges. 4WD can be added for another $1,600.

While the 2015 Honda Pilot SE isn’t the best looking 8-seat CUV on the market. It does offer good value for money. And that’s likely to appeal to a lot coupon-snippers.
