Nissan Thinking of Recalling Some Light Trucks

According to Autonews, Nissan North America is currently thinking of issuing a recall that will affect 48,700 trucks that were built in the U.S. This latest problem is on a lower suspension control link that may not have been welded correctly. Under certain conditions a bushing collar could crack as result of this possible welding defect.

The recall, which was still under discussion with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration late Friday afternoon, will involve some of the 2010 Nissan, Armadas, Titans, Pathfinders, Infiniti QX56, Frontiers, and Xterras models.

In March, certain 2010 Nissan Frontier pickups were recalled for possible airbag and steering shaft problems, and certain 2010 Nissan Titan pickups were recalled for potentially faulty brake-pedal pins.

Also recalled in March were the G35 sedans from model years 2005-2006 and G35 coupes from model years 2005-2007 for airbag problems.

Not sure if your Nissan has been bitten by the recall bug? Go to the Nissan website with this link; http://www.nissanextendedwarranty.com/recalls/nissan-recalls.html —there you do a search for your exact year make and model vehicle. You can always call for live help at 1-877-599-9499.
