The Auto Collections at The Quad in Las Vegas

If you love classic cars you probably like to take road trips. And when it comes to road trips, how can you top fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada? Yeah I know, I know, there is the Hunter S. Thompson variety road trip to Vegas, and, I must admit, I've been on a few of those during my misspent youth. However, you can cruise to Vegas from a number of different directions these days without dodging any imaginary bats.

When you get there you are invariably going to hit the tables, hit the buffet, hit the sports book, hit the bar, hit the club, etc., etc. That's well and good, and it's the American way when you visit Vegas. At the same time, you have to indulge your love of cars, and you can do that at the Auto Collections at The Quad.

The Quad is in the center of the Las Vegas Strip at 3535 South Las Vegas Blvd. That's between Flamingo and Spring Mountain across the street from Caesar's Palace. It's the retooled property that used to be called the Imperial Palace.

They have a fantastic collection of classic cars at the Auto Collections at The Quad. There is a sprawling 125,000 square foot showroom that is always filled with more than 250 cars. Some of them are just on display, but others are for sale.

To give you an idea of the type of car you may see at the Auto Collections, how about the 1962 Lincoln Continental Town Limousine that was used by President Kennedy? They also have the car that Johnny Carson drove to his senior prom: a 1939 Chrysler Royal Sedan.

Those are a couple of cars with connections to famous people, but they have a slew of amazing cars in the collection that you have to see to believe. These would include a very rare1936 BMW 319 Cabriolet, a stunning 1940 Ford V-8 convertible, a 1939 Horch 930V Phaeton, a 1958 Chevrolet Impala 348 Tri-Power Convertible, and many others.

The Auto Collections at The Quad is open to the general public every day from 10 AM to 6 PM, and admission is free. There is very little in life that is worth anything that is free, right? Here's an exception for you, and you should surely take advantage of it the next time you visit Las Vegas.
