The world’s population has been interested in the most, least, best, and worst things since Guinness started putting out its book, and before. Here is a list of interesting trivia facts about automobiles, driving, and doing weird things with our vehicles.

The youngest legal driving age in the world is 14 in Ethiopia.

The most expensive car registration cost $14.2 million at a special auction in Saudi Arabia in 2008.

The most money ever paid for a vehicle was $17,275,000 for a vintage 1963 Ferrari 250 GT in the United Kingdom.

The most produced vehicle to date is the Ford F-Series which hit the market in 1948. Since then more than 29.3 million have been made, and there are 800,000 to 900,000 sold each year.

The biggest car market is China, which surpassed the United States back in 2009. China is also the largest producer, followed by Japan. North America comes in third.

People like to see if their cars can fly. The longest ramp jumps are held by the following vehicles:
Truck cab – 50 ft 6 in
Monster truck – 208.61 ft
Pick-up truck – 301 ft
Garbage truck – 77 ft 4 in

The oldest running car was an 1884 De Dion Bouton Et Trapardoux Dos-A-Dos Steam Runabout, which sold for $4.62 million in 2011.

The cheapest place to own a car in the United States is Wisconsin, which is 13% lower than the national average. Second and third place go to Ohio and South Dakota. The most expensive states are Hawaii, California, and Alaska.

The cheapest state for auto repairs is Vermont. The most expensive is New Jersey.

For auto insurance, the cheapest states are Maine, Iowa, and North Carolina. The most expensive are Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

You are more likely to be a victim of car theft if you live in Modesto CA, Laredo TX, or Yakima WA. You are safest from these attacks in Virginia Beach VA, New York NY, or Austin TX.

You will face the highest speeding fines in Georgia, Illinois, N Carolina, Nevada, and New Hampshire. All these states charge $1000 per infraction.

The worst drivers in the world come from Italy followed by India and China. The best drivers are from Sweden, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

The worst places in the world to find a parking space are New Dehli and Bangalore in India, and Beijing, China.
