A Nissan Juke Batmobile

About the only thing the Nissan Juke has in common with the Batmobile is that it looks weird when compared to every other car on the road. In the Batmobile's case, the weirdness is more like a superhero-level awesomeness, whereas in the Juke's case it's... well, just weird. That hasn't stopped Nissan from building a Dark Knight  Rises Juke and awarding it to one lucky winner.

The Juke R might be just awesome and whacky enough to pull off a true Batmobile role, but Nissan opted not to purpose one of the limited number of Juke Rs for the role, opting for the lighter-performance Juke Nismo. The Dark Knight Rises Juke Nismo, designed by Nissan Design Europe, has a black matte paint job inspired by the Tumbler from the movie. Red detailing on the 18-inch wheels matches the pinstripes on the bumpers and sills. The exterior also includes a shark fin antenna and bat badges on the front grille and tailgate.

Inside, the Bat-Juke is badged out with bat logos on the kick plates and reflective badges on the headrests. Special lighting lets the driver shoot the bat signal onto the floor or the headlining.

Underneath all that bat makeup, the DKR Juke is a 197-hp 1.6-liter turbo Juke Nismo at heart. It includes a Nismo body kit, uprated suspension and upgraded interior with suede-trimmed sport seats. It certainly won't be up for a race against the Tumbler, but Nissan says it's capable of getting out of the gate to 62 mph in 7.8 seconds.

A new "Adam W" gets to play Batman. Adam Williams, winner of Nissan's U.K.-based Built to Thrill contest, took the keys to the car earlier this week in a dramatic ceremony. The DKR Juke Nismo followed the actual Tumbler to the Carmarthen Castle in Wales, where Nissan gave the car to Williams.

"I can't believe I've won this fantastic car—it was the biggest surprise of my life and I was so excited to take delivery of it. I'll certainly turn a few heads driving around Carmarthen—it's great to think I'm the only person in the world with my very own version of the Batmobile!" Williams said of his new ride.

Nissan built the DKR Juke Nismo to celebrate its partnership with Warner Brothers and recognize the release of The Dark Knight Rises on DVD and Blu-ray.
