What's Hot at the 2013 New York Auto Show

The New York International Automobile show was first held in 1900— for over hundred years, through good times and bad, it has continued its pioneering own tradition of delivering new as well as innovative ideas to locals and the world.

The year 2013 is truly making out to be a very exciting one for the automobile industry. So far, the auto shows around the world have truly delivered a grand variety of things on four wheels to really be excited about. As one of the most impactful and trend setting automotive markets globally, combined with the city’s energy, and the fact that New York is a popular city, this show is the most important automotive event in the world.

From fuel-sipping economy cars to million dollar supercars, the Show offers virtually every make and model vehicle sold in the U.S. under one roof. Here’s what’s hot at the 2013 New York Auto Show.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible

What can you say? America’s most iconic sportscar goes topless.

Acura MDX

While offering no new visual teasers, the automaker has added an all-new unitized platform that's stiffer, stronger and safer than ever before.

Audi A3 Sedan

Like it or not, in the States the next A3 is coming to the U.S. only in sedan format, whereas the 5-door hatchback continues to be offered in Europe.

BMW Concept Active Tourer

The Concept Active Tourer is motivated by BMW'seDrivesystem which features a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine as part of a hybrid drivetrain, along a lithium-ion battery pack.Oh, and it's front wheel drive.

Chevy Camaro SS

The 2014 model represents the most significant change for the fifth-generation Camaro, according to GM. The Camaro SS completes a trifecta of GM performance vehicles on display in New York, joining the 2014 Corvette Stingray convertible and Chevrolet SS sedan.

Dodge Durango

Other than a taillight design that is also featured on the Dodge Dart, expect the new model to be equipped with a lot of cool new technology like Voice Texting which enables drivers to send text messages.

Jeep Cherokee

You don’t stay atop the heap by resting on your laurels; The Grand Cherokee is now considered a premium brand and now commands a premium price. This fact will not go over too well for the outdoorsman looking for relatively inexpensive transport to the duck blind or fishing hole. Expect lots of technology bells and whistles.

Hyundai Equis

The refreshed Equus will include new LED adaptive headlights and LED tail lights, new 18- and 19-inch wheel choices, smart keys, interior upgrades and new colors making it an even more enticing value.
