Nearly 1,000 Ferraris Gather For World Record (Video)

Event organizers may be disappointed that they fell three dozen short of their goal of 1,000, but 964 Ferraris in a parade is nothing to blink at. In fact, you won't want to blink at all, or you'll end up missing scores of Ferraris in the video of this impressive world record.

Over the weekend, 964 Ferraris of all colors, models and ages - including the all-new F12 Berlinetta - took to the U.K.'s Silverstone Circuit to set a new world record. While Guinness has yet to certify the record, all the appropriate paperwork has been filed and it appears like only a matter of time before the recent event replaces a 2008 parade of 490 Ferraris at Japan's Fuji Speedway Circuit as the biggest Ferrari parade on record.

Ferrari owners from all over the U.K. and beyond brought their wheels to Silverstone to take part in the historical event. The parade was organized by Ferrari North Europe and the British Ferrari Owners Club. For each participating car, Ferrari donated £5 to BEN, a charity designed to help U.K. workers from the motor industry.

For numbers geeks, Ferrari breaks down the stats of the parade: 964 cars, 5,000 liters of engine capacity, 10,000 cylinders and 490,000 hp - that's a lotta' Prancing Horse! The only logical thing to do is turn your volume to max, click play and let it all unfold before your eyes and ears:
