Bugatti Shows Grand Sport Vitesse In New Video

Some cars just demand video action, and any car defined by 'world's fastest' anything is definitely one such car. Bugatti debuted the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse at the Geneva Motor Show last month, and it has released a new promo video showing the world's fastest convertible in action.

If you missed it, the Grand Sport Vitesse is essentially the convertible version of the Veyron Super Sport, the world's fastest car with a record of 267.8 mph. The Vitesse features the same beefed up quad turbochargers that push the W-16 engine to 1,200-hp and 1,106 lb.-ft. of torque. Bugatti strengthened the standard Grand Sport design to handle the extra power and speed.

The ginormous powertrain allows the Vitesse to hit 62 mph in a tick behind the Veyron hard-top (2.6 seconds) and onwards and upwards to a top speed of 255 mph.

Now reading all those numbers, you're probably salivating to see this car in action. We know we sure are, and we've already watched the video. So do yourself a favor, scroll down a click and hit play.

If you need a little more incentive, the video masterfully combines in-studio close-up footage with driving film taken along a twisty road in the snowy mountains. Yeah, it's worth 2 minutes.
