A Concept With Bravado: Italdesign Giugiaro Brivido

For weeks, we've been seeing teasers of the works of the great Italian design houses. The most mysterious one has been from Italdesign Giugiaro. The firm has released a few different teaser photos of it, none of which have given much of an indication what it is. In fact, even the name has been a mystery for the two weeks or so we've known about it.

Italdesign finally put a little meat on the bone. It released a new teaser of its concept car that reveals both the name and silhouette.

If you read the headline, you already know the name - Brivido, which Google Translate tells us means "thrill," a fitting name for a sporty concept.

And sporty it is. We couldn't tell from the previous hood and intake views, but the profile reveals a very muscular, rear-oriented sports car. It has a long, lightly angled fastback roofline and big, old fenders.

Other aspects of this vehicle we know from the teaser photos and video: It's a hot, sporty red with some greyish contrasts and has lots of carbon fiber around the grille and intakes. It also sports LED headlights. Oh yeah, and it looks powerful and fast as hell.

Originally the Bertone Nuccio was on the very top of our "Must-see concepts from the big Italian design minds" list due to its historical significance. But this Giugiaro teaser has us more than a little excited for the Brivido, too.

The concept will debut on March 6 at 12:30 p.m. That's Wednesday!
