SRT (Dodge) Teases The 2013 Viper
SRT has released the first teaser picture of the upcoming 2013 Viper - unless you consider this Viper prototype dressed up in last-generation Viper clothing or the Viper RV the first teaser, then this would be the second or third. Whatever the case, it's the closest look that we've gotten at the new Viper.
After running a pretty safe contest that required 10,000 Facebook likes by February 1 for a sneak preview, SRT made the reveal just before the stroke of midnight on January 30. It's not really much of a "reveal," but more of a very vague tease. We see more of the light reflecting off the Viper than we do of the car itself.
About all we can discern from the teaser is that there's a double bubble roof like the last-gen Viper, what looks like LED lamps, and a prominent hood bulge. From the teaser, it doesn't appear all that different from the last Viper, but we see so little, it could be a completely different car and we'd never know it.
We shouldn't have to wait too long to see some more. SRT/Dodge/Chrysler plans on debuting the car this year, and while it hasn't specified the venue, it's rumored to be the New York Auto Show in April.
We know about as much about the Viper's build as that teaser reveals of its design. Rumors have been bouncing around all over the supercar spectrum ever since the last Viper retired. We've heard everything from Ferrari influence to Fiat Multiair technology to a big, bold 8.7-liter V-10 engine. Dodge has said that the car will incorporate electronic stability control for the first time, and it will be aimed at a broader demographic than the last Viper.

Dodge really did do a teaser here you can barely see the car if it weren't for the lights reflection.

I wish they would put out better teaser photos of cars so you could actually see some of the car.
