Toyota Recall Companion Pt. 2: The Mighty List

Today Akio Toyoda is in Washington D.C., getting lambasted by the board of GM, err, the US government. We will have a complete report on what was said under the hot lights of the Capitol building, but for the moment we want to make sure that we all know exactly what Toyota vehicles might be disastrously unsafe to drive. The Mighty List, located inside yon post . ..

2005-2010 Avalon
2007-2010 Camry
2009-2010 Corolla
2008-2010 Highlander
2009-2010 Matrix
2004-2009 Prius
2010 Prius
2009-2010 RAV4
2008-2010 Sequoia
2005-2010 Tacoma
2007-2010 Tundra
2009-2010 VENZA

So there we have it, the Toyota Death-Trap List 2010. Most of these cars are being recalled for their killer throttle programing, but some, like the Tundra and Tacoma. Those vehicles are being recalled for issues ranging from rusty frames to faulty axles. Toyota would like to have a word with you:

Recently, Toyota announced two safety recalls that cover some of its models. Both recall campaigns address conditions related to the accelerator pedal. The first recall is called "Floor Mat Entrapment" and regards interference from an incompatible driver's floor mat. The second recall, "Pedal," regards the potential for the accelerator pedal to get stuck in the wide-open position. To learn more about these recalls, visit our FAQs page.

If you have additional questions or concerns that have not been addressed here, please contact the Toyota Customer Experience Center at 1-800-331-4331. The Toyota Customer Experience Center hours are: Mon.-Fri. 5:00 am-6:00 pm PST, Sat.-Sun. -7:00 am-4:00 pm PST.
