Chrysler Recalls 2008 Minivans!

In a recall issued this week, it seems that 2007 and 2008 weren't just about faulty Toyotas. If you own any minivan made by Chrysler in the 2008 model year, those being the Chrysler Town and Country, Chrysler Voyager, or Dodge Grand Caravan, it would behoove you get back to the dealer as soon as possible. It seems that nearly 300,000 vehicles may suffer an inadvertent airbag deployment.

According to the recall:

"Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2008 Chrysler Grand Voyager, Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles manufactured from June 24, 2007, through July 30, 2008. These vehicles may experience a heating and air conditioner (HVAC) condensate leak from the HVAC drain grommet onto the occupant restraint control (ORC) module, which can lead to the illumination of the airbag warning light and a potential inadvertent airbag deployment without warning."

The number of vehicles potentially affected is 299,718, all of which were made within the previously mentioned dates. Chrysler has said that its dealers will replace the affected airbag module at no cost to owners. Owners can contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 to find their closest dealer or to schedule an appointment for service of their minivan.
