Just What You Needed: 2,000-HP Armored Crossover That Tows Yachts

You know when you just completed a hundred-million-dollar bank heist and need to make a getaway to the marina so that you can boat away to international waters? No? Well, if that scenario ever does arise, you now have the getaway car to use.

Dartz Prombron, a Russian armored car company that's made a name for itself in oddball tunes that incorporate things like whale-penis leather, has what it calls "the world’s first armored Sportback, designed for pulling yachts." You know, there's a reason that some niches haven't been filled.

It's called the Nagel, and was designed in conjunction with Gray Designs. It's a sort-of celebration for the mad science that's been going on at Prombron for the past 100 years.

Looking the part of a beefed up Cadillac XTS, the Nagel brings enough power to tow yachts that measure in at up to 15 meters long and 5 tons. It accomplishes that with a massive 2,000-hp engine, the specifics and performance of which have yet to be announced. I'm itching to know just how quickly you'll be able to hit 62 mph with 10,000 lbs. of boat clogging your rear view. I'm pretty sure you shouldn't attempt to hit 155 mph with that much big boat in tow, though.

The Nagel will be launched next year, an anniversary year for Prombron. It's designed to celebrate the company's RussoBalt Heritage. In a press release, it explains: "In the cold winter of 1911, on the last day of the year, two heroes, Andrey Nagel and Vadim Mikhailoff, set off for the Monte Carlo Rally, traveling the furthest distance of any team—3260 km.

In the long distance race, they drove the C24/55 Monaco RussoBalt sportscar which was specially named for the Monte Carlo Rally after the French name RussoBaltique.

The journey turned out to be a victorious one with the team winning nine awards from HSH Monaco Prince Louis III, and upon their return they were awarded the Order of St. Anna from the Russian Tzar Nikolaus II...

The Dartz Prombron Nagel is being built on the anniversary of this great achievement, commemorating Monaco's great yachting tradition. Designed by Eduard Gray of Gray Design, the car is built on the Dartz Prombron' platform using the world’s safest KAPSULA technology to ensure the greatest peace of mind for its passengers."

This thing is over the top in pretty much every way, but I know there's at least one or two megalomaniacs that considers it exactly what the doctor ordered.
