Bentley Continental Supersports Ice Speed Record Mulliner

You know, when I think things like "ice" and "world speed record", the last thing that comes to mind is "convertible." Then again, I suppose ""Bentley would be among the last things to come to mind, too.

However, Bentley did indeed break the world ice speed record (yes, there is such a thing) earlier this year. And it did it in a Continental Supersports convertible. So it's not that illogical to see the all-new Continental Supersports Convertible ISR Mulliner. Bentley will use the limited edition model to celebrate its achievement.

I assume that the original Continental Supersports ISR shown in Geneva is in high demand, because the new Mulliner package is basically just an extra 100 units of that model with a few slight visual alterations. Like the original, the ISR Mulliner comes in three special colors: Beluga, Quartzite, and Arctica White. But the Mulliner version gets red ISR graphics and accents along the sides and hood. The red 20-inch 10-spoke wheels play off the red accents, adding a little extra visual draw.

Inside, the ISR Mulliner gets high-gloss carbon fiber with red weave and Alcantara trim. An eight-inch infotainment system connects driver to road.

Because the car doesn''t get any engine tuning over the original ISR package, Bentley has qualified it as the "most potent and radically styled Bentley convertible ever." The ISR was simply the most powerful Bentley ever. The twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine puts out 631-hp and 590 lb-ft. It hits 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, and we hear it performs pretty well on ice—if you outfit it in the right pieces.

One hundred of the limited edition Bentley will be available for a price of £189,300 ($314,500). Orders are open now.

I hate to say it, but the red accenting really does make a difference. Sexy.
