Pictures Galore: Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition

The Lexus LFA Nurburgring edition has been somewhat of a strange case. Lexus announced the car last March, and made several follow-up announcements about it. But they waited nearly a year to debut the package, something that they will finally get around to this week. And despite the follow-up announcements about the package, we've been working with the same handful of pictures since last March.

But, last week, Lexus finally got around to updating the pictures. And it didn't hold back, offering a full album of exterior, interior, and engine shots. Unfortunately, there are no pictures of the matte black LFA, but we do get plenty of the orange model.

The Lexus LFA Nurburgring edition is an in-house special edition that Lexus will offer to 50 LFA buyers. Pricing runs $70K on up, depending upon the options you choose (the matte black paint will cost you an extra $20,000).

The LFA offers a number of upgrades over the standard LFA. First and foremost, it gets 10 extra ponies for a total of 562. It also gets shortened shift times (down to .15 second) and a carbon fiber body kit. The latter includes mesh-type wheels, fixed spoiler, and front lip spoiler.

Nurburgring buyers will also get an off-car feature: a one-year pass for the Nurburgring Nordschleife track and other intriguing privileges at the 'Ring.

The package will come in a choice of four colors: the orange that Lexus seems to prefer for photo shoots, the $20K matte black option, whitest white, and regular black. Inside, buyers can choose from black, violet, and red.

We'll see more of this one at its world auto-show debut this week. Until then, enjoy the gallery of new pictures.
