Video: Close Up With The Pagani Huayra

If you want to get close to the Pagani Huayra, you can either buy yourself a ticket to Geneva and see it at its world debut in March, wait for Pagani to bring it here to the States, or jump the break and watch a short but sweet video clip that takes you around the exterior and inside the cabin. The choice seems clear.

Shortly after Pagani showed the Huayra last week, Evo released this video clip of the hands-on tour. The lucky guy gets to brush up against the curvy body, sit inside the plush, leathery interior; get hands-on with the touchscreen display; play with the adjustable air flaps, and start the 700-hp V12. Unfortunately, he's indoors, so there's no actual driving footage, but the minute-and-a-half-long clip is worth it just for the close look at the Huayra.

And there's also a rather humorous moment, when a German shephard—one of the biggest, fiercest canines around—is startled by the grumble of the AMG V12. Why a fierce dog with monstrous teeth gets to get closer to a $1.3-million car than most lifelong car fanatics is beyond me, but it's still kind of funny.

In case you've been sleeping for the past week, the Huayra made its official debut last week. After its hand was forced by some leaked pictures, Pagani revealed its highly anticipated flagship to a world of Internet onlookers.

The car is powered by a bespoke Mercedes AMG bi-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that puts out 700-hp--or 730-hp in Sport tune. Performance specs have not been finalized but Pagani indicates that they should look something like 0 to 62 mph in 3.3 seconds and 230 mph top speed. It weighs just under 3,000 lbs.

The Pagani will make its official world debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
