One-Off Ferrari Enzo Prototype Now For Sale

Happy New Year, ultra-wealthy car collectors; there's an exciting new piece up for sale. Look quickly and you may think that you're staring at a Testarosa, but what you're actually looking at is an Enzo prototype from 2000. No, it doesn't have that distinctive beak that we've come to know and love from the Enzo, but it's got a pretty beautiful look all its own. And it's a one-of-a-kind prototype, making it a potential collection flagship.

According to the seller's description, the car is the only working Enzo prototype to have ever wandered out of Maranello and was purchased directly from Ferrari's factory. And in case you're sniffing BS (which is only natural in the case of a car like this), the seller has Ferrari certification to prove it's legit. So you can buy with confidence.

The bright red Ferrari is actually more powerful than the production Enzo. It features a 670-hp V12 engine that was based on the 1991 Formula One car. That engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox. The listed weight is 1,350 kg (just over 3,000 lbs.).

As the seller notes: "it is a real collector car, it´s the mother of all Enzos and 599." And given its rare, unique nature, it's all but impossible to disagree.

There's no listed price, but the old cliche about having to ask most certainly applies. And even if you don't have to ask, you still may not be able to afford it. But if you have a few million dollars worth of gifted cash or holiday bonus money, you may wish to put a call in. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more fantastic collector's car.

Find more pictures and contact information on its sale page at Modena Motorsport.
